Gilbert Stokes Jr. who was known as "Black David" passed away on Friday February 24, 2017 in West Palm Beach, Florida at the age of 39.  David was born in Pahokee, Florida on October 1, 1977 to Francine Felton and Gilbert Stokes Sr. David was a very caring, loving and compassionate person everyone loved him. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, playing video games, and spending time with his loved ones.

David was well known for his favorite line "I'm Saying Though" each time you would see him. He always kept a smile on his face and something crazy to say each time you would see him. David's smile and caring heart made it very hard not to love him, his character along with many other great qualities such as courage, integrity, and loyalty is what made him so great. Loyalty was something that was instilled in him and it something that he will always be remembered by; our great soldier has been called home.

David leaves to mourn his mother: Francine Felton (Robert); father: Gilbert Stokes Sr. (Katie); his wife: Natonya Stokes; two daughters: Dave'ka Stokes and Mar'Rya Brooks; son: Davin; sisters: Cassandra Rolle (Frankie), Sentanthany Allbritton; Tenesly Beauge (Herno), Bernice Grey Noble (John); one brother: Bobby Stokes; five nieces: Rayterial Colbert (Tim), Tajzhawn, Tanesly, Stanice and Denise; five nephews: Richard Smith (Nicole), Thomas Turner III (Kameshia), Raymond Colbert , Tajuan, and Herno; A host of aunties, uncles, cousins, and close friends; a special shout to Boyyo.
