Mrs. Geraldine Sylvia was born in Portland, Jamaica to the late Doris Tursty and David Johnson.

After completing her schooling with Portland Primary School, she became a house maid. In 1962 she married Berty Hardware in St. Ann, Jamaica. She moved to the United States in 1968 to join her husband in Lake Harbor, Florida. A few years later they purchased a house and moved to Belle Glade, Florida. She worked many years in the hospitality business at Okeechobee Inn located in South Bay, Florida.

Shortly after the death of her husband in August of 1993, she joined Mt Zion A.M.E. Church in Belle Glade and became a lifelong member. She was devoted to her family and church. She became a driver, sitter to the sick and a helping hand to many who was in need. Mrs. Geraldine was greatly appreciated and will be missed by many.

Six Grandkids: Delroy James, Sebrina James-Walker, Julian James, Demond James, Fayona Curenton (James), Howard James, Jr. (Proceed in Death). Nineteen Great-Grandkids: Alzaniya Walker, Alzanekia James, Romario James, Adriano James, Cristiano James, Cartia, James, Calia James, Zarae James, T'Keyah James, Ahneisa James, Saniyah Sykes, Aubree Sykes James, Amari Sykes, Gabrielle Daniels, Armaan Sahr, Deyona Johnston, Daelon Johnston, and Demiyah James (Proceed in Death). Three Great-Greatgrand Kids: Zoey Simmons, Tray Lee Morgan and Avion Travis. Three Sisters: Mazilyn Johnson and Enid Johnson of Jamaica, Gurley Johnson of England. Four Brothers all procced in Death: Neville, Roger, Sonny and John. A Host of other Family and Friends.
