Mr. Gerald Fields was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Alfa and Hattie Fields. Shortly after the family migrated to Belle Glade, Florida living in Okeechobee Center known as the "Project." He received his primary and secondary education through the Palm Beach County School District.
Gerald known as "Hot Dog" was a very dedicated and hard worker. He worked for Okeelanta Sugar Corportation for over 17 years. He retired early due to his health.
In May of 1968 he joined Corine Robinson in holy matrimony, the love of his life, devoted wife and mother in which she preceded him in death only after 38 years of marriage.
He also was preceded in death by his grandmother and three brothers.
Gerald leaves to cherish fond memories 3 daughters: Gerald Fields, Jennifer Allen, Marie Fields (Sonny) all of Belle Glade, Florida; 5 sons: Jerry Fields (Henrietta) of New Jersey, Anthony Fields (Rosemary) of Pahokee, FL, Roosevelt Robinson (Geraldine) of West Palm Beach, FL, Michael Robinson (Janice) of Jacksonville, FL, Larry Robinson (Velise) of Belle Glade, FL; 3 brothers: Alfred Fields, James Fields, Aaron Fields; 3 sisters: Lenora Poindexter, Irene Vereen, Debra Lane; 5 sisters-in-laws: Deloris Bell, Ethell Fields, Alberta Fields, Elaine Fields, Doris Fields; special friend: Roberta Turner; 2 god-brothers: Walter Collins and James Lawrence; god-sisters: Mary Allen, Mae Flynn; 2 god-daughters: Maxine Fletcher and Pearlie Hill; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will dearly, dearly miss him.
