Obituary

SFC Gary Osborne, was born September 25, 1956, to the late Quinnie and Mary Lee Osborne. Gary passed away peacefully on May 31, 2022. surrounded by family and loved ones.

Gary grew up in Belle Glade, Florida, and was educated in Palm Beach County School District and received his high school diploma from Glades Central High School in 1974. After graduation, Gary moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he worked in sales before enlisting in the United States Army on September 17, 1975, where he served faithfully for 16 years before being Honorably discharged on February 07, 1992.   Gary exceled during his tenure of service rising to the Rank of Sergeant 1st Class and receiving numerous awards and commendations.

In February of 1992, he was Honorably discharged from the United States Army. After a brief stay in California, he returned home to Belle Glade. Gary worked for Glades Correctional Institution and HRS for several years before moving to West Palm Beach. Gary was employed through The Salvation Army – Center of Hope as a Resident Manager and Counselor, The Watershed of Delray Beach as an Admission Counselor and Faith, Hope, Love, Charity as an Employment Specialist from 2010 – 2022. In 2016, Gary pursued his bachelor's degree at Palm Beach State College in Human Services.

Gary was predeceased by his parents Mary Lee and Quinnie Osborne, Jr., his maternal grandparents Ed Lee and Pretty Mae King, paternal grandparents Quinnie and Henrietta Osborne. He leaves to celebrate his life: 3 children: Jedaire Osborne (Jackie) Louisiana, Epiphany Osborne, California and Breanna Osborne, Sanford, Fl., A loving stepmother Redessa Osborne (Quinnie), Jacksonville, Fl, A loving and devoted companion, Carla Lucas, 3 Bonus Daughters, Catoria Mills, Terryon Glover and Tecaria Glover, 5 loving siblings Janice Osborne, Pahokee, Fl, Terry Osborne, Belle Glade, Gary Mitchner, Jacksonville, Lyn Barnes (Milton) Detroit, and Eric Osborne (Terri), Jacksonville, Fl. 4 very devoted aunts: Amelia King, South Bay, Earlene Hudson, West Palm Beach, and Tilla (James) Gantt, Ft. Lauderdale, Bobbie Ruth Foster, 1 Uncle Isadore Robbins (Mary Bell, deceased), Ft. Lauderdale, 1 Closer than a brother, Tommy McKinnon (Annette), Sanford, Fl, 4 grandchildren, 6 nieces, 4 nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
