Obituary

Gail Louise Stanley-Wheeler entered this world on August 26, 1952. That was a great day for Sam (deceased) and Marie Stanley; her proud parents. Gail made her entrance into this life in Dublin, GA—Lawrence County. She was Sam and Marie's first baby and she made them extremely happy.

Looking for a better future for their small family; Sam and Marie moved to Belle Glade, FL. Gail was 3 years old at that time. Gail began her education at Lake Shore Elementary; where she was an excellent student. She continued her education at Lake Shore High School; where she continued to exude academic excellence. Gail was not only an excellent student; she was well rounded. She was an athlete and a student leader. Gail hailed as the Queen of her high school in 1970. She loved her classmates and they loved her right back.

As the first born of the Stanley clan; Gail set the bar high. Upon graduating from Lake Shore High School, Gail moved on to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). Because of Gail's love for children; she chose to major in elementary education. Her first job after graduation was with the Florida Farm Workers Counsel; where she worked with farm workers pre-school children for about 10 years. Working with the pre-school children caused Gail's love for educating students to grow deeper. She then moved on to Palm Beach County School District; where she worked for over 30 years. Even though Gail was able to retire; her love for educating children caused her to continue to teach until God called her home. She last served children at Glades Academy Charter School Pahokee, FL.

Gail leaves to morn her 2 daughters (Roshumba Wheeler and Natarsha Coast) both of Pahokee, FL and her mother (Marie Stanley) of Belle Glade, FL. Her brother (Wayne Stanley & Amy) of Columbus, OH will miss her so deeply. There is nothing like sisters (Brenda Cain & Keith) of Belle Glade FL,  (Benita Owen & Ashton) of Palm Beach Gardens FL, (Sharvishia Zeigler) of Atlanta GA, (Cynthia Sims & Otis) of Atlanta GA, and (Gwendolyn Calloway) of South Bay, FL. Gail loved her nieces and nephews to pieces; Dimitrious, Tanisha, Brentoya & Leon, Alvineka & Fernando, Rashad, Michael, Demale, and Mya. Gail's uncles and Aunts were extremely special to her; (Georgie Mayes, James Oneal, Floyd Carswell, Lynn Carswell, Felton Carswell, Patricia Carwell, Ernest Stanley, Rose Stanley, Robbie Stanley, Berneice Stanley, Gladys Stanley, Napoleon Stanley, Hardrick Stanley, Paul Stanley, Clarence Stanley, Merlene Stanley, Altarral Hagan, and Ulysee Stanley. Gail had a host of extended family and friends that loved her and she loved them right back.
