Ms. Ethel Mae Garner was born on August 3rd. 1923 in Rural Mississippi to her mother Ms. Velma and Gary McCall she was one of six kids born in the union. Siblings that preceded her in death were Betsy Mae, Alton, Eddie, Edgar, and Murphy McCall.

Ethel Mae followed God at a very young age. No matter how hard times got she never veered or waivered in her faith. She was swept off her feet at a young age by her Husband of 40 plus years in Vidalia, Georgia. Mr. Thomas Hargrove affectionally known as TJ by many friends and family members. This union produced 6 children: James, David, Thomas Jr., Mary (Polly) Olive (Moochie), and Maxine, all raised in Palm Beach County, Belle Glade, Florida until TJ's untimely death.

She proceeded to move to Deerfield Beach, FL. with her son, David Hargrove Sr. and during this 5-year transition, life will come calling Mr. Horace "Red" Garner of Belle Glade, FL., who would ask her hand in marriage. She told Mr. Red she would have to get permission from her son David Sr. He would then, give his permission and this union with Mr. Red would last until his death 25 years later.  The Lord Jehovah would continue to sustain Ethel Mae to carry on. She would move to Lake Worth FL. for a short period, but her mother instincts would draw her back to Deerfield Beach with her son David Sr. who she affectionally called "The Boss"! During this period, she was always alert but with declining health.

Present daily, she would have a plethora of support from great grandkids, special family, friends and one devoted eternal sister-in-law/ friend Vanilla McCall of Daytona Beach, FL. Also, Mrs. Ellen Philpot, Ms. Elaine Muff and a constant spiritual warrior and friend Ms. Mitchel of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

She leaves behind a host of broken hearts; 16 grandchildren, David Sr. children: Tim, Panna, Kim, Larry, Felicia, Durell. Mary children: Johnny, Terry, and Glen. Thomas Jr. Children: Sophia and Angie. Maxine 's children: Ramon, David, Yolonda. Moochie's children: Daryll and Barbette.

She also leaves behind; 24 great grand kids, devoted nieces, and nephews: Eddie Jr., Gloria Jean, Teon, Velma, Snap, Cookie, Murphy Jr. Pajoe, Man, Ethel, Brenda, and Batman (deceased). And if anyone was slighted it would be an error of my mind and not my heart.

Jehovah called Ms. Ethel home after 100 years & 10 months from living a simple life of love for others and the Lord…. minding her own business.
