Elizabeth C.
Lawrence
Jan 17, 1958 — Aug 18, 2026
Belle Glade
Queen Elizabeth “Liz” C. Lawrence was born on January 17, 1958, in Belle Glade, Florida, to the late Tom Sr. and Jessie Mae Crawford. On August 18, 2026, Liz entered eternal rest, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, faith, and cherished memories. She was preceded in death by her husband: Willie Lawrence Jr., her siblings: Diane, Thelma, Melvin, Emmitt, and Kerry.
Liz's life was deeply rooted in family, hard work, and faith in the Belle Glade community where she grew up. She was a proud graduate of Glades Central High School Class of 1976. Liz was also a dedicated and hardworking woman. She was employed by A. Duda & Sons, where she faithfully worked before later continuing her career with the Palm Beach County School District. After many years of dedicated service, Liz retired from the school district, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and a strong work ethic. Although she understood the value of hard work, she also knew how to enjoy the simple pleasures of life; going fishing, making her famous homemade biscuit, family gathering, playing softball, pokeno, going to church, and eating blue crabs, these were moments that brought her happiness and became part of the memories her family will always cherish.
Faith was also an important part of Elizabeth’s life. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lionel F. Camel for many years, until she later transferred her membership to New Life Tabernacle of Belle Glade under the leadership of Pastor Otis Garmon. During her time at New Life Tabernacle, She was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. She continued faithfully in worship and fellowship at New Life Tabernacle until the Lord called her home.
Liz came from a large family and the importance of family remained at the center of her life as she went on to become the loving mother. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved 9 children: Ruth of Royal Palm, Florida; Liz of RC New York; Willie; Shawanda(Ronald); Natasha; Tavares; Antion; Lawanda; and Carvel Lawrence of Belle Glade, Florida. She also leaves behind 42 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and were a treasured part of her life.
She will forever be remembered by her 9 siblings: Herman (Claudette), Tom (Betty), Velma, Carmen, Timothy, Tyrone (April), Willie (Terrell), Johnny (Vicky), Vivian (Leon), and Lisa; 2 aunts, Josephine, and Teresa; 3 Bonus Daughters: LaShnica, Rhonda, Richelsie, and a loving devoted god-daughter: Tameria Rolle and along with a host of relatives and close friends.
Liz’s presence brought love, strength, and warmth to those around her. Her family was her greatest treasure, and the love she shared with them will continue to live on from one generation to the next, her memory will remain forever in the hearts of everyone who had the blessing of knowing and loving her.
Queen Liz Your love, your legacy, and your beautiful memory will live on forever.
