On Sunday March 4, 2018 Eddie quietly passed away, though he may be gone from this earth his memories will forever live on in the hearts of many lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents, Les Bouie and Mattie Banks Bouie; three brothers: Eugene Scott, Les Bouie Jr., Lucias Bouie; two sisters: Elizabeth Scott Foreman, Georgame Scott Chatman.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving wife, Ida Harper Bouie; his eight daughters: Van Bouie, Johann Bouie, Carolyn Bouie, Debbie Bouie, Sabrina Bouie, Janice Bouie, Jamariah Bouie, Shemaka Hall (Deminke); three sons: Eddie B. Bouie Jr., Charles Harper, Wendell Harper; one sister: Delores Bouie Logan; two brother-in-laws: Logan and Sonny Chatman; one sister-in-law: Ruby Bouie; nineteen grandchildren, special grandson: Jaskvious Bouie (Watt), Keyouuis, Justin, Octavious, Michael, Hyatt, Malik, Charles, Curtearia, Precious, Charles, Lynnette, Tonya, Leon, Ateonna, Deontae, Ishmael, Derrick, Persia; thirty-five grandchildren; nephews: Phillip Scott (Dora), Velta Scott, Elijah Bouie Jr., Morris Bouie (Lisa), Albert Bouie (Pat), Derrick Bouie (Renae), Feddrick Bouie (Sheila), Sylvester Bouie (Cynthia), Ventrall Bouie, Torey Bouie, Davis, Eddie B., Rickie; nieces: Phyllis Hopson (Clarence), Glennie Robertson (Gerald), Lovie Henry (Ernest), Barbara Bouie, Celeste Johnson, Emma; special friend: Tangye Donaldson, special cousins: Sammuel Bank (deceased), Bishop Sylvester Banks; a host of nieces, cousins and friends.
