Dyette Lefay Spencer Snell was born December 4th 1956 in Blountstown, Florida to the late Hurley Mae Spencer and late Amos "Jay" Green. At an early age, she moved to Okeechobee, Florida where she was raised by her Aunt Lottie Mae Boswell and Uncle James Boswell Sr. Dyette graduated from Okeechobee High School and relocated to Kissimmee, Florida where she had three beautiful daughters Megan, Michelley and Brittany.
Dyette later moved back to Okeechobee, where she met and married James Snell Sr. She worked for many years as head cook for U-Save Deli. Dyette was well known in the community for her fantastic cooking, her beautiful personality as well as her kindness and generosity to anyone in need.
Her loving smile and cherished memories will forever be remembered by her loving husband: James Snell, Sr.; her three daughters: Megan Chery (Evan), Michelle Cooley and Brittany Cooley: her granddaughter: Diyarah Lovelace. her siblings: Kenny Spencer, Caroline Coachman (James), Bruce Green (Diane), special cousins: Tracy Boswell, Ricky Boswell, Marilyn Perkins (Jerome), Wanda Telly (William), James Boswell Jr. (Carla) Carnell Boswell (Yiandria), Anthony Boswell; special nieces: Latesha Neal and Jacquitta Boswell; seven step-children: (late) Wallace Scott, James Snell Jr. Patrice Youmans (Mark), Bruce Snell (Pamela) Rocky Snell, Shelia Snell, Adrianna Snell; one godson: Corey Mathis; In Laws: Stacy Stallworth and Shirley Snell; a long time friend: William Cooley, Jr. She also leaves behind a host of loving step-grandchildren, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by special uncles: John W. Spencer (Clara) and Walter Spencer, grandmother Henrietta Jackson and cousin: Gloria Simmons.
