In Loving Memory of
Dumarsais Dumelle
November 29, 1954 – February 5, 2026

Dumarsais Dumelle was born on November 29, 1954, in Jean-Rabel, Haiti, where he spent his early years surrounded by family, culture, and community. At the age of 21, he courageously came to America in search of opportunity, building a life defined by strength, perseverance, and love for his family.

Dumarsais was the beloved son of the late Ermilia Bien-Aimé, who preceded him in death in 2018, and Maceliace Dumesle. He carried his parents' love and values with him throughout his life.

He was a devoted father to his four children: his daughters, Guerda Dumesle and Tontierra Dumelle; bonus daughter, Arkeria McCloud and his sons, De'ante Dumelle and Ozimri Woodson. His children were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He was also a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Jokébed Jean-Charles, Samuel Jean-Charles, Keith Daniel Jean-Charles, and Dace Dumelle, who brought immense happiness and light into his life.

Dumarsais was deeply loved by his siblings: his sisters, Genivia Dumesle and Celamene Dumesle; and his brothers, Billy Dumesle and Wilfrid Dumesle. He shared strong bonds with his extended family, including ten nephews and fifteen nieces, all of whom will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

On February 5, 2026, Dumarsais entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to his family. He will be remembered for his strength, his quiet determination, and his unwavering love for those he held dear.

Though he may be gone from our sight, he will never be gone from our hearts.
