Dorothy Mae Byrd Jackson was born on September 22, 1934 in Monticello, Florida to the late Oscar and Alberta Byrd.

Dorothy met and joined the late Harry Jackson in Holy Matrimony. This union was blessed with 12 children. She was employed as a migrant worker and housewife.

Dorothy fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith. On Saturday August 3, 2019 Dorothy Mae Byrd Jackson entered eternal rest. She is preceded in eternal rest by her parents, Oscar and Alberta Byrd her husband, Harry Jackson, seven brothers, four sons, George Byrd, Harry Jackson, Henry Jackson, Eddie L. Jackson, and one grandson, Anthony Miles.

Jackson of Harrisburg, VA; she also leaves seven sister-in-laws: Agnes , Novella, Nora, Jewel, Colenthia, Shirley, Vivian; one brother-in-law: Raymond Jackson; special cousin: Victoria Johnson Jacksonville, FL and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
