Obituary

On August 19, 2018, our Lord and Savior decided it was time for our Queen to leave behind a dying world and to join Him in Heaven.

Doris Parker, affectionately known as "Mrs. Dot", quietly transitioned from earth to heaven on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at 12:05 am.  She was born on August 29, 1943, in Americus, GA, to the late Arthur Homer and Willie Mae Bolden.

After her mother passed (Doris was 11 days old), she was relocated to Winter Haven, FL, with her Aunt and cousin. She remained in Winter Haven until she moved to Belle Glade with her father.

In the 1960's she met and married the love of her life, Henry Parker and they shared 54 years of holy matrimony. By the early 70's Doris had joined Miracle By Faith Revival Center under the leadership of Bishop Berry Humphrey where she served faithfully. She was extremely loving, uniquely caring, and a sincerely compassionate person. Doris participated in many fund-raising events and she was very active in church events. Prior to the decline in her health, you would find her leading devotion service, singing with Choir #1, making flowers, and decorating the church and fellowship hall.

For the scripture says in Jeremiah 17:8, "Be like a tree planted by water whose roots run deep into the streams, therefore when drought comes its leaves shall remain green and continues producing fruits."

Doris leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband, Henry Parker of Pahokee, FL; her loving children, Linda (Enoch) Morris of West Palm Beach, FL; Samuel Wilkerson of Syracuse, NY; Bernard (Sebrena) Parker, Francina (Willie Joe) Rivers, all of Belle Glade, FL; Samantha Parker of Pahokee, FL; Henry Parker and Doris Parker of Belle Glade, FL; Monique (Michael) Parker of West Palm Beach, FL; 30 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren; her sister, Willie Bell Golden of Tampa, FL; her brother, Troy Taylor; and her sister in law, Verdell Bolden both of Belle Glade, FL. In addition, she leaves: her God-children, Terrina Shahid and Carla Jones; her extended East Lake Village family; her friends Essie McPhee, Virginia Humphrey, Margaret Peterkins, Annie Jermott and Betty Hughes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her Miracle By Faith church family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jervenski Parker, and her brothers, Arthur and Lonnie Bolden.
