Davy Lewis Ford Sr. of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, was born on September 7, 1957, in Belle Glade, Florida, and passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2025.
Davy was the son of the late Mary Alice Ford and Daniel S. Bythwood. He was educated in the Glades area and proudly graduated with the Glades Central High School class of 1975. From a young age, Davy cultivated a strong work ethic and an unshakable determination that carried him through life. He later built a successful career in the trucking business, proudly owning and operating his company, Ford & Sons, best known for his signature truck, Big Red.
Beyond his career, Davy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia, in 1975, and together they shared fifty years of love, laughter, and faith while raising their family. His love for family and his unwavering commitment to providing for them stood as a testimony to the strength of his character.
Davy was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Alice Ford and Daniel Bythwood Sr.; his sisters, Chrissie Anna Seymour, Edith Ford, Valerie Ford and Norma Jean Ford-Potts.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Patricia Ford; Sons:, Davy Ford (Nisha) and Jacoby Ford (Nicole Patalano-Ford);
Grandchildren: Tristen, Taeden, and Zara Ford, with Granddaughter Luna Ford expected in November 2025. He is also survived by his siblings: Sisters: Corma "Manny" Ford (Byron), Tarangela Ford, Iris Jackson (Nathaniel), and Danella Bythwood; Brothers: Aaron Bythwood (Patricia), Dinavon Bythwood (Michelle), Farrell Evans (Heather), Anthony Bythwood, Cedric Evans, and Daniel Bythwood II. Sisters-in-law: Carol Thompson, Constance (Gentele Sr.) Harrison, Cuanda Foster, Monica Foster; Brothers-in-law: Clinton D. Foster, Romando Foster.
In addition, Davy is remembered fondly by his Favorite Nephew: Jamal Hollingsworth (Irene);
Godson: Jaiden "Yogi" Henry; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and countless extended family members and close friends.
Davy's life reflected strength, kindness, and deep devotion. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his unwavering faith, his generosity, and the endless love he shared with his
family and friends. His legacy will live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know him.
