Darrell L. Hickman Sr. affectionately known as "Darro" to family and friends, was born on September 30, 1970 in Pahokee, Florida to Willie L. Hickman Sr. and the late Mary Helen Hickman McFord.
Darrell was raised in Pahokee, Florida where he attended Public School and graduated from Pahokee High School with the class of 1988. During his school years he had a love for sports and academics. He played football, ran track, and played baseball. He was one of the few from this area scouts wanted to recruit for baseball. But after high school he attended Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama on a football scholarship. Shortly after he returned home and Darrell gained employment for a period of time. He loved his family; especially his children and he didn't mind showing it nor saying he love you. He always knew how to make you laugh and had a special name for everyone.
On November 23, 2017 Darrell L. Hickman Sr. answered the Father's call; he transitioned from labor to rest.
He is preceded in death by his mother: Mary Helen Hickman McFord of Miami, Florida and step-mother: Donnie Murvin Coates of Pahokee; His brother and nephew: Markeus Hickman and Willie L. Hickman III both of Pahokee, Florida; his paternal grandparents: John and Irene Hickman of Pahokee, Florida; Maternal grandparents: David Stewart Sr. of Rochester, NY and Leona Kinsler of Miami, Florida; uncle: Ellis Hickman Sr. and aunt: Vera Hopson both of Pahokee, Florida and aunt: Alberta Scott of Slatington, PA.

(Brenda) Hickman Jr. & Tyrone Hickman of Pahokee, Florida, Kentrell (Fredricka) Hickman of Clewiston, Florida; Darrell's three sisters: Patrice Hickman Thompson of South Bay, Florida; Beverly Hickman of Miami, Florida and Rosheba (Kerney) Hickman Thomas of Texas; step-sister: Debra McFord and step-father: Irvin McFord both of Miami, Florida; four nephews: Douglas Thompson, Gerrod (Wilneshia) Thompson, Javarius (Tainesha) Tillman, and Westley Brinkley; fifteen nieces: Yashena (Robert) Johnson, Kenneshia Lovely Hickman, Artiona (Corey) Hill, Rakiara Hickman, Lakeeta Davis, Quweyatta Dunbar, Takiaya Clervan, Tamia Howell, Tyumbi Howard, Tyneshia Hickman, Jasmine Hickman, Keisha Lyndell, Tyson Spencer, Taylor Brinkley and Kennijah Hickman; fourteen great nephews; eight great nieces; three aunts: Johnnie Mae Banks, Joann Hickman, Annette Stewart; four uncles: Nathaniel Hickman, James Hickman Sr., Dan Hopson, David Stewart Jr.; He also leave his cherished memories to a host of special cousins, other relatives and friends.
