Dan McCray Jr. was born December 23, 1932 in Madison, Florida to Mr. Walter and Dora (Gallon) McCray.

Dan occupation consist of Heavy equipment operator and Semi-Truck driver. His cross country travels led him to set roots with his life partner Ms. Mary L. Mapp in the city of Pahokee, Florida. He enjoyed his family and meeting new people. He retired from Glades Co-op in 1998.

Dan leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories,  his loving and devoted daughters: Mrs. Belinda King (Winfield) and Ms. Rebecca Mapp; Sister: Elizabeth Moreland; Brothers: George McCray (Joan) (Hattie McCray); Grandchildren: Donald Mapp, Earnest Mapp (Tara), Mary Mapp, Dora Mapp, Melinda Thomas, Fredrick McNeal Jr., Lakevious McNeal, Justin McNeal, Robert Dortch; Friends: Ida Gilmore, Bertha Tulloch, Barbara Chambers, Sam Coswell; Preceded in death by Mattie Mae Gilmore, Joseph Eddy (Redeye Joe); Treasured memories will live on in the hearts of a host of nieces, nephews, associates, grands, great and great-great grandchildren.
