Obituary

On the morning of July 12, 2018, Cyril passed away at Lakeside Medical Center in Belle Glade, FL.

Cyril was born, June 25, 1963 in Frederick, Maryland to Marie Vickers and the late Leroy Sears. He was affectionately known as "Cy-yo" to his many friends and family. He graduated from Glades Central High School in June of 1981.  Cyril later joined the armed forces in September of 1983. He served his country until September of 1992. During his time of service, he was stationed in Alaska, Honduras, Germany, Georgia, and Virginia. Cyril was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, who served 9 Years and was discharged from active duty with full honors.

At the time of his passing, Cyril worked for The VA Medical Center in Riviera Beach, FL.

Cyril was a South Bay native and was extremely proud of his roots. His love for the Glades Central Raiders was undeniable. His love for his family and friends was unmeasurable. He would go to great extents to ensure their happiness and to see them smile. His greatest love was for his children and grandchildren. Cyril was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and did everything in his power to make up for lost time. He never ended a phone call without I love you or a face to face contact without a hug. Cyril was known for his distinct gift of gab. If you were in his presence for just 5 minutes you felt as if you had known him your entire life.

Cyril was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Kenneth Pace where he served 3 years as the Sunday School Superintendent. Cyril recently relocated back to Belle Glade, FL where he lived until he was called home to glory.
