Obituary

Cynthia Evette Bridges blessed her family with her presence on February 6, 1955, in Jasper, Florida. She
was embraced with immediate love from her parents William Gibbons and the late Laverne Bridges.
Cynthia was the oldest of four children and was the true commander of the bunch. Her parents instilled in
her what it meant to be a responsible, hardworking, and God-fearing individual.
Cynthia Evette Bridges, 68, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away unexpectedly, on the morning of
December 31, 2023. God looked around his garden and saw an empty space, he then looked upon the
earth and saw Cynthia Evette Bridges, then God sent his angel to her home and Cynthia Evette Bridges
answered the call. She was an amazing, kind, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister,
aunt, niece, cousin, Godmother, and friend.

Cynthia Evette Bridges' mother Laverne Bridges awaits her arrival in her heavenly home. What a great
union it will be as Cynthia Evette crosses the Jordan river to meet her daughter: Conswella Bridges;
grandson: Sabath Bridges and Michael Bridges, Jr.; sister: Mary Morgan; and brother: Daniel Gibbons.
Cynthia knew at an early age that having a personal relationship with the Lord was important. She gave
her life to the lord and joined Glorious Community Holiness Church (Belle Glade) under the late
Elder Cecil Johnson.
Cynthia had a yearning for knowledge to educate herself in order to help educate others. She
attended Glades Central High School, home of the Raiders, and graduated with the Class of
1973.

Cynthia Evette Bridges leaves to cherish her loving memories her Father: William Gibbons; Sons: Sabata
Bridges(Shayla) and Michael Bridges(Zale); Adopted-Daughters: Donyetta Barrington(Brandon) and
Navette Jenkins(Joe, Jr.); Grandchildren: Kiana Bridges, Tatiana Bridges, Sabata Bridges, Jr., Sabata
Bridges, Carlos Lawrence, Jr., Great-Grandchildren: Milton Miller, IV, Brandee Barrington, Brandon
