Curtis James Edwards was born July 11, 1950 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Sammie Lee and Versie Lee Edwards.

A Time to Learn:
Curtis attended Lake Shore Jr./Sr. High School in Belle Glade, Florida where he graduated with the class of 1970.

A Time to Prosper:
He was employed at Chase Packing House, Okeelanta Sugar Mill and Good Year Tire Company until retirement in September of 2015.

A Time of Joy:
After meeting in 1990 Curtis and Joyce were joined in Holy Matrimony July 11, 2002.

A Time To Depart:
After a decline in health Curtis departed this life November 27, 2016 at 9:29pm at Wellington Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Sammie L. Edwards Sr., mother, Evangelist Versie L. Edwards, two brothers, Milton Clarence (M.C.) and Freddie Douglas Edwards.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his lovely wife Joyce; (5) sons: Curtis Edwards Jr. of South Bay, FL, Harold, Michael, Gerald Edwards all of West Palm Beach, FL, Brian Edwards of Jew Jersey; (2) daughters: Yvette Edwards of New Jersey, FL, Curtica of Orlando, FL; his adopted son: Rashaad (Mon'et) of Jacksonville, Curtis is also survived by (3) brothers: Sammie Edwards, Calvin Edwards (Velma) of Belle Glade, FL, Harold Edwards of Missouri; (1) sister: Dorothy Edwards-Laing of Belle Glade, FL; (10) grandchildren: Brian, Brandon, Nicholas, Mia, Ashley of New Jersey, Ma'Kayla, Mikerria, Mikael, Curtis III, Mahogany of West Pal
