Time To Be Born:
The late brother Clarence Ivery Woods Sr. was born on April 9, 1934 in Emmanuel County Georgia to the late Orzia Sr and Gertrude (Conner) Woods. He was the oldest of seven children born to that union. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Time To Serve:
At an early age he accepted the Lord. Upon moving to Belle Glade, Florida, the Woods family united with the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late Reverend OD Williams. He was an active member until his health failed. Clarence was recognized for the top selling Men's Day ads. He enlisted in the United States Army, worked as a foster grandparent at Katherine Cunningham Elementary School for over ten years. He also worked as a farm equipment specialist at Glade and Grove Supply Company for over forty-Five years. He was a dedicated member of Sons of Masonic Lodge Number Four.
Time To Be Happy and a Time To Die:
He united in holy matrimony to Mattie Mullins Woods and lived happy with her for over sixty-five years until Saturday December 18, 2021 when the lord called him from labor to reward, "Welcome Home" and well done thou good and faithful servant. Matthew 25:21.
