Christopher Norman Williams, affectionately known as Chris, was born on September 2, 1983 in Pahokee, Florida. Chris was born to Ethan Williams and Mary Johnson; he was the youngest of 7 siblings collectively. Chris was educated in the Palm Beach County School System, Rosenwald Elementary. Chris later transferred to The Belle Glade Christian Academy until his graduation in 2001. Upon graduation, Chris began his employment with the city of Belle Glade. He began working as a refuse collector and proceeded to excel in every department of Public Works until his most recent position as Facilities Manager. Chris was loved by all of his coworkers and colleagues for his dedication and professionalism. Chris was not complacent, he "gets the ball rolling" especially on special projects. Chris was an optimistic person who found solutions in times of crisis. He was known for his quiet, kind, caring and jovial demeanor. His colleagues were more than just colleagues, they were a part of his family.
When Chris was 6 years old, he attended his first Easter Sunday service at The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ with his sister Stephanie and his brother, Tony. Under the Leadership of Sr. Pastor Feld and Pastor Jonathan Feld. Chris grew in grace and knowledge of the Word of the Lord. Chris was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost. He served in ministry, taught Bible Studies, and mentored many young men and women. Chis continued to pour into so many lives by affirming Acts 2:38; "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost", just as he had been poured into. He had a heart for the youth ministry and was honored to be a servant.
In January of 2002 at a Youth Rally, he met his future wife,Marie. They went on their first date on her 18th birthday in September of 2002 and were married on May 28th, 2004. They had their first child, Michael Rock Williams on February 25th, 2012 and later on had their beautiful daughter Alayah Juliette Williams on October 9th, 2016. Chris was always a devoted father and husband; he loved his wife and children endlessly. In 2016, Chris and Marie transitioned to their new church home, New Life Tabernacle of Belle Glade, under the leadership of Pastor Otis Garmon. There, they served in ministry through music, teaching, and many forms of servanthood. Chris was loved by his church family, his natural family, his friends and neighbors.
Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Norman and Josephine Williams, maternal grandmother Cleo Weems Smith, his uncles George Miller, P.T. Miller and John Woods, his aunt Catherine Miller. Memories of Christopher Norman Williams and his legacy will be cherished by his loving wife Marie Julia Williams, children, Michael Rock Williams and Alayah Juliette Williams.
