Our beloved, Sister Christeen Kearse Benjamin was born in Warwick, GA to the late Hasten Sr & Elnora Kearse. Relocating to Belle Glade, she was educated in the public school system, matriculating with the Class of 1962. Christeen was united in holy matrimony to Leroy Benjamin Sr and to this union, four children were born. The late Sabrina Patrice Myrick, Leroy, Jr, Cheryl Lavita and Lydia V.
Christeen worked seasonally in the agrigate cultivation of the area including celery and corn. Christeen loved the Lord and worshipped with a Spirit of Excellence; serving in her church in the Choir, as Mission Teach and Secretary. Her children remained grateful for her early teachings to love God, Family & Friends.
Christeen was known for her smile, laughter, and cooking as our dad used to sing "What a Difference a Cake Makes". She fed the hungry, visited the sick, and loved her church and assisted the elderly. Wise lessons for long life, she cautioned her children. Christeen will truly be missed by her many family & friends.
