Charles Davis Sr. 68, was born in Augusta, Georgia on January 14, 1949 to Lillie Maude Oliver and Willie Davis, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was raised in Pahokee where received his formal education at the local schools; East Lake and Pahokee High School.

Charles' career as a custodian spanned almost three decades with the School District of Palm Beach County beginning at Pahokee High School and retiring as Head Custodian at Pahokee Elementary when his sight failed him.  He was a mentor to the kids at Pahokee Elementary School, and a inspiration to the community at large.

If you were ever blessed to be around him at any point in his life he gave you some words of wisdom to take with you. A family man, Charles was an advocate of family values and living as close to God as possible.  In his sparetime he loved to go fishing.  As a young man, he was known to dominate the old Pahokee cab-stand with his skills at dominoes and checkers. He had a great sense of humor and loved old school music of Marvin Gaye and many others.

He was blessed to be the father of ten children all of whom are left to cherish his memories; Charles Davis, Jr. Marcus Davis, Gwendolyn Davis Watts, Kimberly Davis, Belinda Davis, Nikki Davis Fray (Dewayne Fray), Melissa Davis, Tondra Davis, Angela Davis, and Amy Davis; five sisters  Roberta Davis, Martha Oliver, Eula Davis, Shirley Brown and Willie Mae Johnson;  three brothers, Robert Oliver (Irene), Robert Davis and Michael Davis (Donna); thirty-two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former co-workers.
