Obituary

Chantale Tonette Pearson was born on June 1, 1974, at Everglades Memorial Hospital in Pahokee to Ms. Laverne Williams and Mr. James Eddie "Tony" Pearson (Deceased).  The Williams family proudly welcomed a loving child, and Chan was affectionately called "Pooh". She was raised in a Christian family where life lessons, morals, values and ethics were instilled in her by her grandparents Pleasant Williams Sr. and Annie Ruth Williams (both deceased). From a young child, she joined, attended and was baptized at Glorious Community Holiness Church of Jesus of the Apostolic Faith. It was at church that her love for music and singing developed as she was a member of the YPIC choir where she sang her heart out for the Lord. She attended Gove Elementary School and Lake Shore Middle School.  Her formal secondary schooling was in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl where she attended Gold Coast Christian School and Stranahan High School where she graduated in the Class of 1993. After moving to Ft. Lauderdale, she became a member of 5th Avenue Church of God. She was employed after-school and on the weekends as a Pharmacy Technician at Eckerd's Drug Store.  After high school, she pursued her post-secondary education at TCC and Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida where she studied Sports Medicine with an emphasis on Physical Therapy. She returned home and continued her studies working an Internship with the Miami Dolphins and working with the Athletics Department of various public schools.

She returned home to Belle Glade where her passion for education and children intensified. She was a "Champion for the Children" and was passionate about projects to which she was connected.  She was employed by Palm Beach County Schools working long-term namely at Lake Shore Middle School, Rosenwald Elementary School and Seminole Ridge High School.  She met and networked with influential district personnel. She was a people's person and a magnet that attracted students from various walks of life in which she counseled and advised. THEY LOVED HER!! Although she was always surrounded by children, she always wanted to do more.  She pursued, successfully completed and earned her Early Childcare Directors License.  She owned and directed her very own "Kids Clubhouse Academy". She was also employed by Allied Security with her main post being at FPL West County.  She was well known there and a lively and enthusiastic breath of fresh air every morning for every contractor that she came into contact with.  She ran a tight ship there at West County and did not grant access to ANYONE who did not have their credentials.  She was highly praised for her work ethics.

Chan indulged in the soft life taking trips, shopping, spending time with her husband, fine dining, relaxing and frequenting Spa's.  Chan loved "nice things" and those that know, know!! Chan was always the "Life of the Party", literally!  Whatever the occasion, she was sure to lift everyone's spirits with a song, dance, joke or just playing music. She wasn't a stranger to anyone and would help everyone that she could.  She had a big heart and gave of herself freely.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Pleasant Sr. & Annie Ruth Williams, her father James Eddie "Tony" Pearson; paternal Grandmother Ms. Clemmie Thomas and paternal Great-Grandmother Ms. Ethel McLaughlin.

Her legacy and memories will be cherished and carried on by her husband Darryl Brown, and her mother Laverne Williams. Aunts: Zadie Ruth Williams, Valerie Williams, Elizabeth Harris, Sabrina Thomas, and Sharon Thomas.
