On April 22, 2018 God sent one of our strong and dedicated family member home. Brother Booker Telefare Gainor Jr. son of the late Booker T. Gainor Sr. and Ethel Lockett. He was born February 28, 1934 in Desota, Georgia.
He received his education at Staley High School in Americus, Georgia and later attending The Palm Beach Senior Education program receiving his Certificate of Diploma. Booker served in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge PFC (T). He served with the famous Arnold Bernard B.K.A. Barney Fife from the T.V. Show "The Andy Griffiin Show." Booker T. Gainor Jr. joined in Holy Matrimony to Elizabeth Willis on December 28, 1961 of Cairo, Georgia. This union was blessed with five children. He was a member of St. John First Missionary Baptist Church in Belle Glade, Florida.
Booker T. Gainor is preceded in death by his son Booker T. Gainor III and sister Omelia Lockett Lawrence.
He is survived by his loving children, Elaine Johnson (Ulysis) of Cairo, GA, Stephanie Randall (Benjamin) of South Bay, FL, Janice Gainor (Patrice) of Cairo, GA, Yolanda Gainor of Cairo, GA; his memories are forever cherished by his siblings: Melvin Lockett (Pauline) of Belle Glade, FL, Henry Lockett (Christine) of Belle Glade, FL, Ethel Lockett Randolph (Bruce) of West Palm Beach, FL; daughter-in-law: Ericka Gainor of Miami, FL; his one brother-in-law: James Lawrence of Belle Glade, FL; (18) grandchildren; (8) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
