Deacon Booker T. Ferrell also known as Mickey/Pop was born 09/28/1953 to the late Gracie Banks Newsome and Booker T. Ferrell in Miami FL. At a very young age he relocated to Okeechobee FL under the care of Aunt /Uncle Maude (Jessie) Henry.
Mickey attended the Okeechobee High School and graduated with the class of 1971. He had a great passion for sports especially Baseball and he loved working for the Juvenile Justice System inspiring youth to become successful good law abiding citizens.
Mickey met and married Rose Boswell Ferrell and to the union 3 children were born. Booker (Tocha Cope) Ferrell, Teretha ( Todd) Ferrell and Jeremy ( Keshia) Ferrell. Also, 3 beautiful grandkids Bryson, Raven and Reed Ferrell.
On June 14, 2021, Mickey entered eternal life. He leaves behind a loving sister, Vanessa (Mark) Anderson and 2 beautiful nieces, Chocicetta Newsome /2 nephews Zumondrae Newsome and Thavori Davis. Marquita (Donovan) Davis. Also a nephew Tony Woodard/Azariah Woodard, Peyton Woodard and Kimani Woodard. First Cousin: Nita Lane/ Sylvester and Terrance. Mary Brooks/ Tymon, Kelvin and Myron. Emma Brooks/ Jarobe, Marion, Linzette and Chativa. Brenda Harris. And a host of cousins, friends from Fort Myers FL.
Mickey at a young age gave his life to the Lord and was a faithful servant who served as a deacon under Bishop Kenneth Williams at Hope Ministry Okeechobee FL.
