On February 03, 1951 in Troy, Alabama a baby girl was born to the late Climmie Lee and Annie Mae Miles whom they named Betty Jean Miles, and was affectionately known to her family as "Lady of the Year" was called home on October 13, 2021. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed working fishing, and being with her family. She was well known and loved.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Tyrone Miles, Vanessa Carter; (4) sisters:  Clinnie Collins (Edward), Annette Davis (Rodney), Jeanie Miles (Willie), Elizabeth Epps; one brother: Little C. Miles; brother-in-law: Linton Chisholm; sister-in-laws: Clarita Miles, Alberta Miles; 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Betty Jean is preceded in death by her parents; (3) sons: Willie Miles, Tony Miles, Freddie Carter; one sister: Mildred Chisholm; (3) brothers: Bobby C. Miles, Willie C. Miles and Roy Miles.
