Bernice Godfrey affectionately known as "Peggy" was born February 23, 1946, to the late Lula Mae House and Maner Godfrey in Belle Glade, Florida.

Peggy received her education in the Glades attending Lake Shore High School home of the Bobcats. She worked briefly in agricultural before becoming a full-time housewife. Peggy enjoyed watching T.V. She loved her family and her dog Cookie.

On January 6, 2024, Bernice "Peggy" Godfrey entered eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Son: Willie Green Jr.; Grandson: George Clark IV; Sister: Ruby Bennett; Brothers in laws: Earl Bennett, Bernard Harper, Arnell Taylor Sr.

Peggy memories will forever live in the hearts of her Children: Angela (John) Walker, George (Tunya) Clark, Andre Clark, and William Clark; Grandchildren: Yalanda Little, Andre Clark Jr. CheBrea Clark, Destinie Clark, and Jahara Clark; Sisters: Margaret Harper and Mildred Taylor; Special Friend: Clyde McRae; and a host of great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends.
