On Wednesday, January 29, 1964 in the beautiful city of Belle Glade, Florida a baby boy was born to Mr. David and Mrs. Alice Monroe; they named their son Arthur Lee Monroe.
Arthur attended his family's church and often visited other churches in the area. He attended Glades Central Community High School where he was an honored member of the Track Team and the Football Team. After Arthur graduated from Glades Central Community High School in 1982, he continued his education at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida. When Arthur returned home, he began employment with local businesses, before taking on a career with Okeelanta Corporation from which he later retired.
Arthur always made himself available to help others and never asked for anything in return. His loving spirit will be forever remembered by those he touched. He was a teacher, a listener, a supporter, an adviser, and an entertainer. Mostly, Arthur Lee was always present to celebrate his family's successes and to cheer on the people he loved. Arthur Lee Monroe was a true soldier that will never be forgotten.
Arthur's life came to an end on Monday, July 15, 2019 at his home. Arthur was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Hollman-Monroe, and grandparents: John and Minnie Hollman, David Sr. and Mary Monroe and George Clark Sr.
