The Book of Life

for

Arlene "Tiny" Scaife

"To be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord"

A voice came and she listened. A mortal arrow pierced her frame and she fell, but fell with no fear. We have come together at the call of death, an event that we all have to face. Most people look upon death as a dark and gloomy thing without one redeeming quality. The death of righteousness is like lowering clouds that shut out the sun at noonday. It has a bright side and a silver lining. There is an entrance into our Father's house. Soon all will be done with all that are here. Today, we have not only lost a mother, a grandmother, a sister and a friend, but we have lost a "rose" from our beautiful rose garden.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters. Psalms 23
