On Tuesday, September 9, 1958, Deacon Lloyd Wilson, Sr. and Sis Vera Mae Wilson, were blessed with a son, Anthony. Anthony was blessed with twelve siblings: Edna, Jimmy "Pop",  Leatha, Patricia, Lloyd, Leroy, Johnny, Marie,Viola, David, Jack, and Lashonda. Anthony would later be nicknamed "Jim" or " Jim Dandy" by his grandfather, Mr. John Jackson. Jim was affectionately called by many names; Tony, Jim, Jim Dandy, Rip, Slick, Tomcat, Rooster, and Cat. However, his favorite names were "Honey", "Daddy", and Mr. Wilson. He was very versed in the scriptures. So much so that our family would tell anyone that he was the "Bible Answer Man".

Jim was a graduate of the Martin County High School Class of 1976. Jim used the skills acquired in the Masonry Curriculum at MCHS to pursue a job as a construction steward for Century Village. He would later receive a certificate from the Buster School of Construction. Jim was the founder and owner of Tony Wilson's Repair Service for several years.

As a child he was active in church, being a member of both the choir and the usher board. Upon moving to Palm Beach County, he was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church and later, Hurst Chapel AME Church. He loved the Lord with all of his heart, soul and mind. He would read and study his Bible both day and night. He would often say " If I can get one person a day to accept Christ, then I have done my job".

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, " He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in him I will trust."

On July 18, 1998, Jim and Lora Peterson Wilson promised to love and cherish each other, in sickness and health until death. They were married 26 ½ years. They were blessed with two beautiful , outspoken, diva daughters: Andella Lora'el and Phylesha Anto'ne. Jim was a protector of his wife, two daughters, siblings, nieces, nephews, godchildren, other family members and close friends. He would be ever so charming, until someone would bother his family, then he would deal with them.

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose".

On Wednesday, February 26, Jim, fighting to the end, trusted God and quietly answered the Master's call. Preceding him in death were his parents, Deacon Lloyd Wilson Sr. and Vera Wilson; Grandparents: Jimmy L. Webster Sr. and John and Marie jackson; Five brothers: Jimmy, Johnny, David, Lloyd, and Leroy; two sisters: Edna Mae and Marie; niece Shamel, and his godbrother, Rufus. Jim loved God and touched the lives of many, many family members and friends.

Jim Dandy is survived by his loving wife of 26 ½ years, Lora Peterson Wilson. Two daughters: Andella and Phylesha; five siblings: Leatha, Patricia, Viola, Jack, and Lashonda. Cousins who he took as siblings: Angela, Deidra, George, Alvin, Ralph, Otis, and Ronnie. Four Godchildren: Magdalena, Edline, Giovanni, and Arlena. Close friends: Eddie, Herman, and Henry; and a host of loving nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
