The late Annie Julia Arnett, daughter of the late Julia Hughes was born on May 16, 1930 in Dansville, GA. She was raised by her grandmother the late Laura Nelson. She peacefully departed her life on Saturday March 11, 2017 in the comfort of her own home. Annie confessed Christ as her Saviour on November 23, 1993 and became a member of St. Paul Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Elder Clarence Brown.
Annie married the late Alric A. Arnett Sr. on April 11, 1953. From this union five children were born. She was the matriarch of her family and was always admired for her ambition and great strength. Annie and Alric raised their six children as well as nine of their grand children. She was very well known in her community for her knowledge, wisdom, and concern for the youth.
She's preceded in death by her husband Alric Arnett Sr., one (1) son Reginald Arnett, three (3) daughters Maebell Arnett, Inez Arnett, and Caroline Arnett, one (1) granddaughter Eusheena Arnett, grandmother Laura Nelson, mother Julia Hughes, two brothers Henderson Hughes and James Torrence Sr., three sister-in-laws Mary Gardenshire, Mildred Torrence, and Viola Farrington.
She leaves to mourn Two (2) sons: Wallace (Allie) Chester and Edgar (Barbara) Arnett, Fifteen (15) grandchildren: Natoria Taylor, Tyron (Ronelda) Arnett, Willie Peterson, Bernanda Jones, Cornelius (Maggie) Royal Jr., Sareena Rutledge, Yiandria (Marlow) Blackman, Bobby Ford Jr., Crystal (Antwone) Cunningham, Dermaine Arnett, Olivia Arnett, Latoyia Arnett, Keeochia Arnett, Alric Arnett II, and Willena Dennard. Fifty-one (51) great grandchildren and three (3) great-great grandchildren. Two god children Coleman Taylor and Herbert Taylor. Two special relatives Thessalonia Haynes and Leslie Sinclair. And a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
