Angelo Thompson affectionately known as "Lo" to family and friends was born to the union of James Thompson (deceased) and Minnie Shorter in Clewiston, (Hendry County) Florida.

Lo's sun rose on December 17, 1962 and his sunset was on May 9, 2022. He was educated in the Hendry County school system and was employed by the United States Sugar Corporation for Shawnee Farms for 21 years. He was a faithful member of New Bethel A.M.E. Church, Clewiston.

In 1982, he met his wife, the love of his life, Willie Lee Horace, and they were inseparable. They enjoyed happy times cooking and eating with family and friends. Lo and Willie Lee loved to garden, especially collard greens. He loved everything Willie Lee cooked but was partial to her fried fish. Lo paid close attention to his mother and her wellbeing. He owned many cars but he always remembered his green Toyota Camry. He was compassionate toward senior citizens in providing transportation to appointments and shopping during his spare time. Lo's favorite basketball team was the Miami Heat. He believed that the HEAT Mantra: The hardest working, best conditioned, most professional, unselfish, toughest, meanest, nastiest team in the NBA! He cherished hanging out with his friend Greg Chavers, Roy Lee James and James Bland. Most of all Lo confessed Christ and took out time to attend his favorite church and worship his God.

His sister, Loretta McKenzie, and brothers, Arthur Lee Wilson, Gary Rolle, and Norman Banks preceded him in death.

Angelo leaves to cherish his memory a loving and grieving wife, Willie Lee Horace Thompson, his bereaved mother Sis. Minnie Shorter. Sister, Roberta Reed.
