Andre Jevon Thompson Sr. was born June 25, 1974, to the late Thelma Lee Thompson and Bruce Mills. Andre was the oldest of four children.

Andre received his education at Suwannee High School in Live Oak, Florida with the class of 1992. Andre was a track star in high school receiving numerous awards, ribbons, and medals. He was known for running the 4x4 relay and 100-yard dash. Immediately following graduation Andre enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served as Private First Class Thompson.

Andre was employed as a Supervisor with CUI Cable Services. Throughout his career, he consistently excelled in every position he held, earning the respect of his colleagues through his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication. His commitment and ability to lead enabled him to advance into management positions at every company where he worked. Earlier in life, he learned the trade of building screen porches and shutters, from his uncle Teddy Thompson and Wayne Thompson, and became highly skilled and successful in the craft. Andre was also an exceptional cook, affectionately known throughout the family as the "King of Ribs" for his legendary barbecue. Above all, he was family-oriented, valued bringing loved ones together, and was known as a peacemaker who treated everyone with kindness and respect.

Andre met and United in Holy Matrimony to his sweetheart Carmeeta "Buffy" Gadson in 2010.

Andre was proceeded in death by his mother, Thelma Thompson and his father figure, uncle Jerome "G" Thompson.

On July 14, 2026, God called Andre home. He went from labor to reward.

Andre leaves to cherish his memories with his loving wife of 16 years; Carmeeta Thompson; Father in love George (Monica) Myrick and Mother in love: Evangelist Brenda Wright; four sons: Dalvin Reid, Andre Thompson Jr., D'Andre Thompson, Dre'Vonte Thompson; four daughters: KeyAndre' Thompson, Dyemenn Thompson, Dre'Janah Thompson, and Te'Andre Thompson; two brothers: Marques (Kernisha) Thompson, Quinton Thompson; one sister: Tequilla Thompson; Two grandchildren: Dalvin Jr. and Alani J. Two uncles: Rev. James Thompson and Theodore Thompson; one aunt: Venzula Thompson; two godsons: Joshua Shelly and Shani Hernandez; two cousins he loved like sisters: Laquietta Thompson and Angela (Simeon) Richardson; a cousin he loved like a brother; Lendrick (Kendra) Thompson; three sisters-in-law: Kahneeta Gadson, Niekeeta Gadson, and Shaveeta Gadson; two brothers-in-law: Lorenzo Gadson and Sheroen Dukes. Andre also leaves memories with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
