On May 17, 1961, in Belle Glade, Florida Charlie and Evelyn Jackson welcomed Alteree Dewayne Jackson, Sr.
On April 18, 2024, Alteree answered the voice of his heavenly father as he welcomed him home.
Alteree was raised in South Bay, Florida where he attended primary and high school. Alteree graduated from Glades Central Community High School in 1979. He then began his career as a truck driver. He committed his service to many companies throughout the years.
Alteree met the love of his life Arneta (Nita) in 1976. Alteree and Nita enjoyed a beautiful life together. They made a covenant to become on March 2, 1985. from this union they expanded their love with a family of four beautiful children. Terrance Simms (Austin, TX), Altamese Jackson-West (Charlie) Tampa, FL, Alteree Jackson Jr. (Orlando, FL), Tankair Jackson (Belle Glade, FL); Five grandchildren: Tre Simms (Chicago, IL), Javarr West, Jalen West, Jace West (Tampa, FL), Eva Simms (Austin, TX); one brother: Earnest Jackson (Sandra-deceased), West Palm Beach, FL; four sisters: Cynthia Mike Gilyard (Ronnie), Patty Wooten (Tony) both of South Bay, FL, Janice Jackson (Deceased), Bonnie Jean (Deceased); In-laws: Arlean Simpson (Wellington, FL), Edna Andrews (Percy), South Bay, FL, Joann Gibson (Dallas, TX), Ida Calhoun (Sonnie) South Bay, FL, Wealthy Bland (Fort Gain, GA), Odexter Simms (Tracy) South Bay, FL, Johnny Jackson (Linda) Beaufort, SC, Marion Henry (Wellington, FL), Carolyn Simms (Deceased), Emma Simms Jr. (Deceased); one special daughter: Shantae Edwards: special friends: Gregory Beckford, Tommy Humphries, Bruce Williams Sr., Earnest Brown, Larry Adams, Ronnie Chastine, and John Lee Moore; Alteree also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to cherish the memories of the life he lived.
