Our dearest Albertis "Egg" Durant was born April 19, 1960 in Belle Glade, Florida to the late Mary "Cindy" Francis Moore and Albertis Durant Sr. He was the first introduction of motherhood to his mom who was affectionately known as "Big Chief".
Albertis received his education from Palm Beach County School District. Upon leaving school he pursued a career in farming. He held various positions in the agricutural (corn) industry and would travel every summer to Georgia. Egg enjoyed working in corn and sharing the harvest with others.
As a young boy Albertis developed a passion for cooking from his beloved mother. He cooked the best fried chicken. Some say Dixie Fried couldn't touch it. Egg loved his family and would do anything for them.
Albertis "Egg" Durant will surely be missed. He leaves to cherish his memory one sister: Irene Webley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; four brothers: Gregory "Trey" Stewart of Belle Glade, FL, Vincent Stewart of Deland, FL, Harold "Bernard" Stewart of Lincoln, NE, David "Bubba Duke" Stewart (Deidre) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two uncles: Marion Stewart (Sandra) of Belle Glade, FL, Harold Stewart of Lake Park, FL; two aunts: Betty Scott of Dallas, GA, Eleaner "Lena" Stewart of Belle Glade, FL; Albertis also has a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Egg's memory will always remain in the heart of his special cousin Bertha Ann who he affectionately call "Big O" and the love of his life Gloria L. Brown.
