In the year of 1936 on one summer day, July 16th , a baby boy was born to William Henry Houze and Bertha Williams in Franksville, Alabama. They named him Albert Henry Houze and he received his education in  the Washington County School System.

Albert came to Florida in the early 60's where he was employed at US Sugar for 25 years. That was just the beginning of a life long dedication to work in order to provide for his wife and family. After US Sugar, he moved from Belle Glade, FL to Okeechobee, FL in 1966 where he was later employed with Lykes Brothers for 27 years until finally retiring on April 15, 2016 at the age of 79. It was in Okeechobee where he also met and married Ms. Alma Joyce Jones, his wife of 35 years.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife of, Alma Joyce Jones, William Henry Houze (father), Bertha Williams (mother), Hattie Pearl Tennort (sister), and Tommy Jones Jr (grandson).

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories forever, one brother Grady Houze (Sylvia) of Gulfport, MS. One Daughter Vanessa Exantus (Daniel) of Okeechobee, FL. Four Sons Albert Houze Jr of Washington, DC., Tommy Jones of Sebring, FL., Rev. George E. Houze (Lucenda) of Pahokee, FL., and Joseph Walker (Kimberly) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. 13 grandchildren Garionna, Darius, Ajayi, Ja'Taurus, Ta'noris, Kim, Kelli, Kisha, Kandi, Kevin, Krystal, Calandra, and Joseph Jr. 24 Great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
